Potential Markets...

There are many millions of older diesel engines just in the United States, and many millions more worldwide.  These diesel engines cause heavy pollution, yet are very expensive to replace.  These countless numbers of older diesel engines are our niche market.

There are many businesses where the use of diesel engines is extensive, and the use of our product will be of huge benefit to the end users:

  • Long-Haul Trucking
  • Locomotives
  • Agriculture
  • Construction
  • Delivery Trucks
  • Buses
  • Mining
  • Oil Drilling
  • Generators
  • and more...

All of these are very viable and large markets for our technology.  The largest markets for the catalyst are in which there are millions of older engines, strict environmental laws, large engines, and where engines run on a constant or near constant basis.

The marine industry (tug boat fleets, fishing fleets, workboats, cruise ships, ferries, container ships, oil tankers, etc…) offers the best initial target market for our product.  For example, consider diesel engines in long-haul trucking vs. tug boats vs. cruise ships.  A long-haul truck might use 7 gallons of diesel fuel per hour and run 1,500 hours per year.  A tugboat has two larger diesel engines that each use 70 gallons of fuel per hour, and might run 5,000 hours per year.  Furthermore, a cruise ship might burn 2,300 gallons of diesel fuel per hour and run 3,500 hours per year.  Thus, a truck might use 10,500 gallons/yr, a tugboat might use 700,000 gallons/yr, but a cruise ship may use 8,050,000 gallons/yr.

To give an idea of our market potential…if just the six largest international shipping companies (Maersk, “K” Line, Cosco, Mitsui, Teekay, Hanjin) each put our proprietary system on each of their vessels, the annual catalyst sales are estimated to be $1.3 BILLION.
